Starting from 4th to 6th October 2024, this festival is not just an ordinary event, but a celebration of cultural heritage that connects us with the wisdom of our ancestors in preserving the beauty of Bali's coast and nature. With the theme "Back to Roots", this festival takes you back to the original traditions of Bali, using simple methods that have existed long before the modern conservation movement, so that participants can see how authentic Balinese culture is.
The festival will be decorated using organic ingredients, serving Balinese specialties with traditional equipment, and presenting a variety of authentic Balinese cultural performances. All of this is designed to bring you closer to nature and the cultural heritage that continues to live in Nusa Penida. The Nusa Penida Festival 2024 will begin with the sacred ceremony of “Yadnya Pakelem”, a meaningful offering to Dewa Baruna, the ruler of the ocean, as a form of gratitude and prayer for the safety of all beings.
